Primary Officers
Director: promotes HOG and chapter to
potential members, conducts chapter
meetings, coordinates chapter officers responsibilities, assists
sponsoring
dealer in upholding the "Annual Charter for HOG Chapters".
Assistant Director: assists the Director as requested, informs
chapter
members of HOG programs and benefits, conducts new member orientation,
acts
liason between chapter and the State Rally Committee.
Treasurer: collect chapter dues, manages all chapter funds,
oversees
the preparation of federal, state and local tax returns, submits annual
financial
statements to HOG, maintains and compares expenses and income from
current
and past years
Secretary: oversees the administrative needs of the chapter - keeps minutes and ensures that all insurance requirements are met, maintains annual Chapter Membership Enrollment forms for each member, ensures all members are national HOG members, reports all chapter officers and chapter addresses and names are on file with HOG., if chapter is incorporated, submits corporate annual reports to proper state office
Secondary Officers
Activities Officer: oversees the administration of chapter
events,
recruits and instructs volunteers on chapter activities, ensures that
all
insurance requirements are met for all chapter events, oversees the
collection
of appropriate release forms
Ladies of Harley Officer: encourages women members to take an
active
part in the chapter, answers questions about the LOH program, informs
members
of LOH benefits and activities, coordinates LOH chapter activities.
Road Captain: Assists in planning routes for chapter rides,
educates
chapter members about the towing reimbursement program, assists in
keeping
the chapter informed of all HOG programs, educates chapter members
about
group riding techniques, assists in obtaining signed release forms,
acts
as a guide for organized chapter rides
Editor: Authors, edits and faciliates the distribution of chapter
publications,
including the chapter newsletter; presents any chapter publications (no
matter
which format) to sponsoring dealer for approval prior to their use;
organizes
and assembles written material for the chapter; submits chapter events
to
HogTales for publication, submits suggestions for Chapter
Officer
New; promotes HOG's fun and family-oriented philosophy in all
chapter
publications and submits all publications to the HOG office.
Safety Officer: provides Motorcycle Safety Foundation information to
members,
educates members about the Safe Rider Skills program, assists Road
Captains
in planning routes for chapter rides, educating members about group
riding
techniques, educate members in use of hand signals, and help collect
signed
release forms.
Photographer: takes and organizes chapter photos for chapter publications, HOG Tales, and a chapter history album, submits chapter photo to Hog Tales when requested
Historian: organizes written accounts of chapter activities, record names of chapter officers, notes Membership levels etc, organizes photos of chapter activities, officers, members
Membership Secretary: Takes care of the Membership, renewals, and Membership cards.
WebMaster: This person is responsible for the Chapter Website.
Merchandiser: This person takes orders and places orders for HOG Membership merchandise.
Other Positions
Greeters: Greet new members at the meetings and events.
Pig Pot Coordinator: This person is responsible for collecting
money
and keeping track of who plays "PIG POT". For more information
check
with an officer.
Sunshine Person: This person sends cards,
flowers etc when a member is sick or has a death in the family.
50/50: This person is in charge of the 50/50 raffle at meetings and other activities.
Raffle Master: This person coordinates and oversees the annual chapter bike raffle.
